Much of the nation has been gripped by disclosures regarding the NSA’s surveillance activities and a program allegedly called PRISM. In this webinar, Marc Zwillinger will explain the history and background of FISA and the FISA Amendments Act and explain what authority the government has to collect information for foreign intelligence purposes, how that authority can be exercised, and what, if anything, providers can and must do when receiving FISA orders or directives under Section 702 of the FAA. By the end of this session you will have a good understanding of what FISA does and does not do, and what “Directives” are all about.
