Adya Baker’s practice focuses on representing clients on a wide range of privacy and security related litigation matters including complex commercial litigation, class actions, arbitrations, and government investigations. She represents clients in federal appeals court, federal district court, as well as several state courts at every stage of litigation from case inception and negotiation through trial and appeal. Adya has represented and counseled clients in a variety of industries, including the software, entertainment, insurance, manufacturing, and healthcare industries on matters involving state and federal privacy statutes, contractual disputes, unfair competition laws, and state and federal constitutional privacy rights.
Adya also maintains an active pro bono practice, focusing on representation of domestic violence survivors in civil protection order, guardian ad litem, and custody and divorce cases. She currently serves on the Junior Board of D.C. Volunteer Lawyers Project, a non-profit organization committed to providing legal services to domestic violence victims and at-risk children in the D.C. area.
Prior to joining ZwillGen, Adya was a litigation associate at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman in Washington, D.C. and Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe in New York.
