Rushil’s practice focuses on a variety of legal matters impacting both emerging and established technology and Internet-based companies. Among other matters, Rushil counsels on data privacy, alternative data, and children’s and educational privacy. He helps companies in a wide range of industries, including education technology and financial technology, with issues related to privacy, data diligence, product development, and regulatory compliance.

Rushil assists clients in drafting policies and procedures, including terms of service, privacy policies, and vendor contracts. He has experience helping clients draft and negotiate data agreements, including data processing agreements. He also conducts diligence of data vendors and assists clients in mitigating the risks associated with various types of data.

Rushil received his J.D. from the George Washington University School of Law, where he recently graduated with a concentration in Business and Finance Law. Here his studies focused on privacy and regulatory law. During law school, Rushil interned with the Information Law Division of the Department of Commerce and the Office of the Whistleblower of the Securities and Exchange Commission. He also interned for the Honorable Judge Noel L. Hillman in the District Court, District of New Jersey. Rushil was Co-President of GW’s Street Law Chapter, an organization dedicated to teaching DC youth constitutional law. He was also a member of the Federal Circuit Bar Journal.

Prior to law school, Rushil majored in Economics and Political Science at Wake Forest University, and worked at CEB, now Gartner, as a legal research analyst.
