Sara Haven is a seasoned commercial transactions attorney with over 11 years of in-house counsel experience helping tech companies navigate complex legal and business challenges. With comprehensive experience in a broad range of commercial transactions, contract negotiations, and risk management, Sara has provided strategic legal and business counsel to in-house clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. She brings with her a deep understanding of the technology industry, as well as various other industry verticals. Her experience includes handling outbound and inbound software-as-a-service and license agreements, technology integration and software development agreements, professional services agreements, and channel partnership agreements.
Sara joins ZwillGen after nearly 6 years at LogicGate, provider of the “Risk Cloud®” SaaS solution in Chicago, where she led the company’s Legal Team and served as General Counsel. Brought on as LogicGate’s first legal hire, she not only supported the company’s inbound and outbound commercial transactions, but also built the legal review and contracting process from the ground up. During her tenure, she was a trusted advisor to senior leadership and various cross-functional teams in connection with the sale, provision, and development of SaaS services, helping her clients navigate the legal and business issues that accompany a high-growth company. Prior to LogicGate, Sara also spent time in-house at Cvent, Oracle, Opower and Mobiquity.
Sara’s experience as an in-house attorney has allowed her to develop a pragmatic, collaborative approach to contract negotiation, earning her a reputation for achieving favorable business outcomes all while balancing and mitigating legal risk.
