On Wednesday, 12/19/12, FTC Chairman Jon Leibowitz will announce the FTC’s final amendments to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (“COPPA”). The FTC first released proposed amendments to the Rule in September 2011 (see ZwillGen analysis here), and then issued a supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking regarding its proposed changes in August 2012 (see ZwillGen analysis here).
